New Star Wars last night/this morning at 12:01am. It was worth seeing--a good finale! Not as many freaks came out (other than the occassional Dork Maul and terry cloth robe Obi-Wan-nnabe's) as I hoped/expected, but the theater was jammed. Some typically cliched Lucas dialogue, but I'm amazed at the visual worlds that he creates and how truly believable they are. I didn't catch myself being distracted by the fictional landscapes like I did in Episode II. There are a couple of tense moments and I found myself smiling more as I watched this one. Worth the little sleep sacrificed.

Always looking to offer free music, so... Jump on these links fast if you're interested. There are no guarantees how long they will be available!

The new Gorillaz record is out and it's fantastic! Demon Days is full of the funk and fun that have become associated with the world's most famous cartoon band. Great grooves and just the right mix of singing and rapping join together to bring a very entertaining and cohesive record--much more so than the last one. Good record to listen to while driving!

Click here for the following free albums:

Nine Inch Nails With Teeth (newest album from the Lord of the Dark himself--first track is especially great!)
Muse Showbiz ("Sunburn" is a killer album opener. Fantastic three-piece)
Muse Absolution (This has all the radio hits on it--especially good if you like a good musical punch to the gut every now and then)
Muse Origin Of Symmetry
Muse Hullabaloo
Prodigy The Fat Of The Land (this record has "Smack My Bitch Up" and "Firestarter" on it)
Sigur Ros ( ) (if you liked the mellow, "instrumental" music in Vanilla Sky then you were liking Sigur Ros without even knowing it--both of these records are must-haves!!)
Sigur Ros Agaetis Byrjun
Spiritualized Lazer Guided Melodies (Very cool English jam-band type outfit. Slowly gained an American following--deserve more credit and airtime)

Gotta give the people what they want.

Stop listening to Mainstream radio--God doesn't like it when you listen to it.

Currently playing: "Your Bruise" by Death Cab For Cutie.

Random observance.

When I dream, I am always bald.

I don't have any idea how our own mental projections of ourselves work or why they even happen. All I know is that I always look in dreams exactly how I look now--regardless of whether the dream is current or a revisit to the past.

Except for last night. I had a dream about college and I had hair, just like I did in college. So strange.

Made me glad I was bald after all! Early 90s hair wasn't the most flattering. (look it up in an encyclopedia c@it or watch the History channel for proof.)

I'm also most often asked to do music for other people in my dreams. I've mentioned this before--it's been Van Halen, Lisa Loeb, etc etc etc. Last night though was my own songs--I was playing my own music for people and they wanted to hear it! Two unique dream occurances.

More later...

Exit music: "Rise" by Doves.
