Sitting in the airport. There is something very surreal about leaving one place at 8:04 and arriving at your destination at 8:00. Just under three hours here in O'Hare until my next flight.

Newest post at Shake Your Fist.

My friend Jim sent this game to me a couple days ago, prompting me to avoid work for about 20 minutes. It reminds me of the hours I used to spend playing Atari.

Entrance music: "Pusherman" by Curtis Mayfield.

There are times when nothing but soul and funk will do for me musically. Today is one of those days.

I leave for South Carolina in the morning. I'm excited to spend time with my dad and sister. My birthday is Saturday (let the comments begin to flood in, thank you very much) and my sister and I are going to spend it like a brother and sister obviously would: seeing the band Styx. Yes, the "Mr. Roboto-Come Sail Away" Styx. Respirators and walkers and power ballads like "Lady." What a night it's sure to be. I'll try and get a picture of me with Dennis DeYoung and post it for all to make fun of.

Currently playing: "Cold Sweat" by James Brown.

I rarely talk about MySpace, but I've a complaint I must air out: I can't get Stephen Baldwin to accept me as a friend. About a month ago his name came up when a few of us were talking about "who might be on MySpace." My friend (in real life and MySpace) Ethan decided to search for him--and found him. Puzzingly, he was accepted as a friend within a couple days. I immediately followed and requested to be added. This has been over a month ago. He is obviously ignorning me. Lisa Loeb accepted me as a friend. So did The National and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. What's up with Mr Baldwin?!? Am I not good enough for him? I can't figure this illusive man out.

Currently playing: "I Want To Take You Higher" by Sly & the Family Stone.

Not long ago @m and his adorable son Porter invited me to a Grand Rapids Griffins hockey game. @m sent me this reminder today.

All I want for my birthday is to call Stephen Baldwin my friend. Ho hum...

Exit music: "You Were Made For Me" by Sam Cooke.
